The National Planning Agency has released a report confirming the environmental impact assessment submitted by First Water Ltd., earlier known as Landeldi Ltd. First Water is planning to increase the production capacity of sustainable salmon farming on land in Þorlákshöfn to 28,000 tons in 4 phases. The National Planning Agency’s report is an important step towards further development of salmon farming and the company will continue to minimize environmental impact and emphasize the responsible and sustainable use of resources.
